Defective Item Policy

Believe or not, our trained service technicians take pride in their workmanship. We make every effort to minimize mistakes and we strive wholeheartedly to provide quality reconditioned products.

In the unfortunate event that a reconditioned item (A-grade or C-grade) is received and found to be “defective” and you find yourself saying “the blankety – blank- blank @#! doesn’t work” or “the freakin-frackin thing fell apart!”…Please dig a hole and bury it deep in the backyard…

Seriously…BigSkyTool offers the Grim Reaper Defective Item Policy.

This policy is valid for the first 30 days from the date of your purchase and includes reconditioned tools, batteries, and chargers. Simply email our talented customer service agent (customerservice@bigskytool.com) to create a case in our database. Please be sure to include the following information in your email so that we may quickly locate your order. If the information below is not provided, it is quite feasible to state that we could be applying for and receiving social security benefits long before you would ever receive a response and resolution from us.

Required Information:

  1. Enter “Defective Item RMA Request” in your message
  2. Include the order number
  3. Include the model number of the item(s)
  4. Include the serial number of the item(s)
  5. Provide details describing the nature of the defective issue
  6. Advise if you would like to return the item for an exchange or a refund

Customer service (also known as one kick-butt person wearing many fashionable hats) will respond to your inquiry by providing a return shipping label and return authorization form via email. Simply print the shipping label, the form, and include these with your return. Once we receive the item back and verify the item is in its original condition we will promptly issue the exchange or the refund as indicated. If the item(s) is received without the proper forms processing will be significantly delayed.

General Disclaimer Only: Please know items determined not to be in original condition (i.e. abused, missing items, personalized, missing accessories, and new items not in original packaging) or items received outside of the 30 day return policy will not be exchanged or refunded and will be sent back to you.

All defective item issues outside of the 30 day defective item policy are considered to be under warranty. Please view the warranty claim policy under the manufacturer’s warranty. You may view this by clicking "Warranty" below.
