Hitachi G18SR 7-inch angle grinder (Reconditioned)
Description

Description

Hitachi's G18SR is a compact and lightweight 7-inch angle grinder. Weighing in at under 10 pounds and measuring a full inch shorter than previous models, the G18SR allows for optimal control while still providing the needed power, torque and durability. The 15 Amp, 1,700 Watt motor supplies plenty of power with superior dust and heat protection. The armature is dual sealed with varnish and a heat resistant adhesive to protect from wear caused by dust and debris. Labyrinth retainers at both ends of the armature help to prevent dust ingress to the bearings, ensuring smoother operation and longer life. Finally, the G18SR employs an iron bearing holder at the commutator side of the motor for improved durability.

I bought it to strip old carpet glue from the concrete floor in the basement (approx 500-600 sq feet) Working for hours in clouds of dust, stopping only to change sandpaper disks, grinder did not overheat, did not fail, always delivered power when required. Nice machine!
