I'm hooked on Hitachi. Put them side by side next to my Dewalt, and Hitachi wins in every way I need. More power, and better control. The weight alone is the best part. To get a Dewalt or Makita with the same weight and power, you're spending three times as much as Big Sky's reconditioned. I've purchased at least fifteen of their reconditioned tools, and I always get tools that are in great condition. Most of the time I can't tell it's been reconditioned. I'm very pleased with the power tools, bench tools, and battery tools. No complaints here. Thanks Big Sky.

Enough power for a do-it-yourselfer. Good reverse switch for left-handed folks. A short body for a hammer drill lets me inside cabinets that some other drills won't. And thanks for a hard carrying case. Hate those canvas bags. Maybe a little heavy for 18v ion though. Not real happy with the batteries because they go dead instantly, not gradually like ni-cads. Is this right?

The drill's okay, but the batteries are horrible. They both lose charge after a minute or two. It's so bad, I've gone back to regular batteries to run this drill with much better results.

I purchased the Hammer Drill for my son who works in construction and he told me that he loves it and that it works great. He has already purchased other tool from Recon Sales himself.
