I would think this would be a dangerous saw to use in very cold weather.
I am astounded that Hitachi would put their name on such a poor quality tool. Not only is the bottom half of the moter made of plastic, but the part the bar bolts onto is also plastic. The aluminum cylinder does not have a steel liner which makes this saw nothing more than a future piece of landfill trash. BST used their return policy to pretty much force me into keeping it.

Solid deal. Best saw you can get for the money.
I've had an excellent experience with this saw so far. It's been through about twenty tanks of gas with no issue. Very happy with the quality of the refurbished product, too.

Started easily. Not too heavy. Very little, if any, vibration. Used it to lop off some logs into firewood. Seemed to cut well and worked like it should. So far I'm very pleased with the saw.

This is one of the best I've ever used. It is five star. All the way. I'm 73 and used many.

This is a nice little chainsaw for cleaning up limbs, small downed trees, etc. Not for big heavy cutting (I used to cut timber as a second job) but as much as you'll ever need as a homeowner. Perfect for most firewood needs.Clincher was the price. Similar size Stihl is about $600. This one was a real bargain.
