Excellent saw
The saw has exceeded my expectations. It was bought to more safely cut compound angles instead of using my cabinet table saw. The sliding saw arrived securely packaged on a pallet. I and the delivery driver easily got it off of the truck. The machine looked brand new. It is large. Note that its base must be completely supported from underneath such as using a strong table top. Out of the box the saw was properly aligned with the exception of one of the fence bases not aligning with its folding wing. A note to customer service about the problem quickly resolved the issue with a new fence base and wing sent to me. Excellent customer service. The provided blade is a good rip type. Even when drawing the saw out to maximum cutting width, cut angles remain accurate. All Angle Adjustments are easy. The laser marker adjusts easily and operates independent of the saw motor. I replaced the turntable adjustable plastic blade clearance inserts with a piece of hardwood milled and drilled to fit.

Great Deal and Saw!
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this saw. It appears to be new rather than reconditioned; no marks, scratches or defects to be found. I had almost bought it at Lowes, it would only cost $10.00 more than Big Sky plus freight. Fortunately I saved 30% with the Labor Day sale - saving me over$100.00 with shipping! Great deal.

Cuts Cleanly and Quickly
The saw arrived via freight truck, boxed and lag bolted through the box into a pallet. It arrived in good shape and had minimal assembly of some additional parts (fence, wood clamp, rear stabilizer). It cuts wood like butter and the laser is nearly spot on (a slight angle to the line, which I believe can be adjusted to 90...there is a dial to move the line left or right). This is a heavy saw and is very stable without being anchored down. Satisfied!

A Beast of a Machine but a Great Buy
This machine is a BEAST!!!! I had a 10" prior and I thought, how much bigger can a 12" be??? It is BIG and HEAVY so be prepared!!!

It came via semi with lift gate and dolly so unloading was no problem for the driver. He very swiftly had it in a place specifically dedicated for this saw. The driver was courteous and very professional -- kudos to him for his job well done.

The saw was loaded and strapped on a pallet. I cut the straps and box and stood back and gazed on this thing of beauty. A separate bag held all the misc parts so that none would be lost. The easiest way for me to get the saw to the stand was to cut away all the available cardboard leaving only the pallet and bottom piece of the box. It easily came off the bottom and I lifted it onto the specially made cabinet. I say easily but it was 63-64#.

After a few adjustments to the cabinet, I plugged the saw in and made my first cut.....absolutely perfect!! The laser wasn't quite on the left side of the blade so made that adjustment and started to cut some pieces for a project. If you need a project for the pallet, go to Woodworking for Mere Mortals. Steve has many projects for surplus pallets.

A great buy with the discount and I would do it again.
