Domestic Warranty Information
So, here you are…project time…ready – set – go! You pull the trigger and all of sudden you recognize a familiar stench…You say to yourself, “Self, I know this can’t be coming from this high-quality, reconditioned tool I just purchased six months ago!” “What?! It is!!” “Great! It is now after the first 30 days, death is knocking at the door of this tool and my project is now going to be behind schedule! Those BigSkyTool buffoons!”
Now let’s be nice…those “BigSkyTool buffoons do have a manufacturer’s warranty available to help keep you on track with your project and get you up and running as quickly as possible.
For DeWalt Tools Only
After the first 30 days of purchase, all DeWalt reconditioned tools are backed by a one year DeWalt warranty.

The DeWalt warranty does not apply where:
Repairs have been made or attempted by others, repairs are required because of normal wear and tear, if the tool has been abused, misused, improperly maintained or if alterations have been made to the tool.
For Hitachi Tools Only
All Hitachi reconditioned tools, batteries, and chargers are backed by a one year manufacturer’s warranty. The reconditioned Hitachi warranty is valid for the United States ONLY. Warranty issues occurring after 30 days from the date of purchase will be handled through the local Hitachi Service Center or by the Hitachi Factory Service Center. The Hitachi tool warranty is not with BigSkyTool. All battery and charger issues occurring from date of purchase will have to be sent directly to the Hitachi Warranty Center.
Customers have two options to handle Hitachi warranty tool issues.
Option 1 For Hitachi Tools Only – The customer has the option of taking the defective tool to a local authorized Hitachi service center.
Date and proof of purchase will be required.

Option 2 For Hitachi Tools Only - To get your warranty repair started, ship the defective tool to Hitachi’s Factory Service Department, along with your proof of purchase and your contact information. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the defective item for warranty repair. Hitachi is responsible for shipping the item back to the customer.

The Hitachi warranty does NOT apply where:

Hitachi Warranty for Batteries and Chargers Only
Hitachi reconditioned battery(s) and/or chargers are backed by a one year manufacturer’s warranty. New Hitachi battery(s) and chargers will be considered under the original manufacturer’s warranty. Battery and charger warranties are not covered by BigSkyTool as we are unable to service them at our facility.
Should you experience a problem with your new or reconditioned Hitachi battery(s) and/or charger at any time during the warranty period, you will need to contact Hitachi for the warranty replacement. To get your warranty claim started, ship the defective battery(s) and/or charger(s) back to the address below along with your contact information and your proof of purchase. If the item is received without this information processing will be delayed. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the defective battery(s) and/or charger(s) to the Hitachi warranty center while Hitachi is responsible for shipping the item back to the customer.
