It does not want to start in the morning. If you need it for work, forget it. It would probably make a good boat anchor. A true waste of money.

Works great now that the pressure switch and reset button have been replaced. More than enough power to run my nailers/stapplers. Not ure I'd buy this same model again, I'd probably go with something a bit more portable.

This Air compressor works great. I bought it for my dad for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. Uses if multiple times a week.
Pro: Quiet, Fast to pump up, Dual connections.
Cons: nothing
Would buy again anytime and I tell everyone looking for an Air compressor to seriously look at Hitachi they are a great machine.

nice construction, packed and received in perfect shape. Had some difficulty finding right type and size couplings, Type G half inch, would be nice if that info came with it, was not in manual, or else would be a nice accessory to offer to sell when purchased. Love your site and I recommend you whenever tools come up.

The reconditioned Hitachi air compressor I received did not start. The overload relay opened on each attempt to start. This was my second Hatachi compressor. The first one was purchased at Lowes. It had holes in the welds on the air tanks. I guess Hitachi has no quality control, just build it and sell it. That must be why they have such a booming reconditioned equipment sales. The recon/ sales did send me another overload relay. I think your money ahead buying reconditioned because that is the first quality check they get. The problem might be corrected by the time it is sold the second time. I my case it took three times to get it right.
