- Great saw and great value!
- I bought this same saw less than a month ago. It's a great saw, really smooth and comfortable to use. Works great for cutting trim boards, or even 2x4's. It ramps to max RPM in a few second and It's also quiet compared to other miter saws I've used. This is definitely a great deal!
- Definitely a good buy
- I purchased this miter saw to replace a Dewalt saw that I have been using for the last 6 years. My old one finally burned up last Fall. I have it for about 1 month and have already used it for several small home projects. It was a reconditioned grade, however, came out of box, it looked very new and almost same quality as if I bought from some big box stores. It came with everything, I didn't expect it came with a user manual however, the one I bought did. Set it up in less than 10 mins, checked miter angel and bevel angle, and it only needed some little tweak-unlike some cheaply made saw which will take you forever to make a straight cut. This saw can cut up to 5.5" molding, however, with some sacrificial wood boards, it can handle 6" molding. This saw is also very light to move with. Definitely a good buy.
- Remarkable value
This is my first miter saw, and I jumped on this one because it's a fantastic bargain at the reconditioned price. I've only used it for one project so far, and it's a night-and-day improvement vs. trying to make cuts like this with a hand saw, circular saw, or even a table saw. There's really something to be said for having the right tool for the job.
The included blade seems to be a great general-purpose blade - it went through all my cuts quickly and cleanly. So far, the only feature I could see myself actually missing on this saw vs. higher-end models is an indicator of where the cut will fall on my material.
Bottom line: if you know that you'll need all the features in higher-end saws, you're probably going to look past this one, but for basic miter cuts, you'll look a long time before you find a better value.
