Almost useless outside. It still moves very very slowly even when you turn the rotation off making it are just to line up the laser where you want it to make a mark.
Would not recommend.

This laser level has worked well on the projects I have used it for so far. It could stamd to be quite a bit brighter, and it does go through batteries pretty quickly, but it was easy enough to set up and figure out despite the less than useful instructions included with it. The tripod is sturdy and easy to set up. The leveling dials on the laser are easy to use. The one big fault I found is that it is night impossible to get the spinner to remain stationary without turning off off the laser completely. It would be a big improvement if there were two detents on the control, one for on, and a second to star the laser spinning.
