This Impact Driver was on my "wish list"; because the price was so good, I was able to purchase the Impact plus the 12v drill (and flashlight) for about the same amount as a new Impact would have cost elsewhere. In this case "reconditioned" is "just as good as new".

Terrific product. No problems what so ever since I purchased it, (nearly two years ago). Excellent for assembly and disassembly of small parts. Great for working on parts with an aluminum housing, just enough torque to tighten, but not enough to strip out the housing threads. Have had a number of other mechanics I work with purchase this same driver.

this has been and still is a great deal. Drill was scuffed but expected. one battery lasts longer than the other but I just keep one on charge, so no harm no foul. it is years later now and it still works. Still a great drill. still a great deal.

Best low voltage drill I've ever owned. I have a 18v. Portercable drill driver and I use my Hitachi 5-1. Has wonderfull power and torqe.

Driver worked well and continues to be completely problem-free EXCEPT that the batteries are totally shot now. They worked for about three months with pretty heavy use before they stopped holding a charge. We have a second impact driver of exactly the same model that we purchsed before this one and it has gotten more use and the batteries are still good. The battery charger also smells hot sometimes and we don't quite trust it.
