The very first time I shot a nail the gun jammed up. The cover plate was bent. Then it would not return the plunger back. I found the top of the driver unit broken off at the o-ring. This has not been a good experience for me. was this tool tested after reconditioning?

has worked flawlessly so far...I was a bit skeptical how good this tool would work because of the price but it has worked great so far (two small custom cabinet jobs)..It doesn't shoot the longer pins that I used to us with my older pin nailer but that hasn't been an issue yet

Big Sky Tool does it again ! The Reconditioned 23 Gauge Micro Pinner out of the box looked & worked like new with out the price!- As a professional finish carpenter over 30 years I could never understand why anyone would deal with a reconditioned tool, why buy someone else's problems that are likely to resurface after continued use . product needed additional repair as the slide which holds the nails kept falling out. I adjusted it and it seems to be OK for now. I would have returned it but I needed it as soon as it arrived.

Well-designed pinner, both mechanically and ergonomically. My first Hitachi tool, and am impressed -- and a bit surprised -- with quality function and feel. Reconditioned tools are good value; mine was indistinguishable from new, and included safety eyeglasses and user's manual. Currently using pinner to build up stain-grade molding of walnut and of CVG Douglas fir into drywall, all of which are kinda soft materials. No problem to set pins at proper depth. Resulting nail hole is size of a pinhole, invisible on walnut and easily covered on fir. Rubbery nose on Hitachi pinner leaves no marks on workpiece vs. black metal nose on my previous Bostitch pinner. Can't speak to ease of clearing jams -- it hasn't jammed in about 500 pins. An inline oiler or frequent oiling seems smart given the tiny tolerances necessary to drive tiny pins. And even though they're tiny, the pins hold wooden pieces together plenty firmly while glue dries, esp. if cross-nailed. Frictionless purchase, quick delivery and a useful, durable Hitachi pinner.

THE PIN NAILER SEEMS TO WORK AS I HAD EXPECTED. CONDITION OF THE TOOL WAS VIRTUALLY LIKE NEW. THE EXTRA NO MAR TIP WAS MISSING FROM THE KIT.

Looked at a lot of pin nailers and decided to go with the Hitachi. Very happy with the condition (pretty much brand new) and you just can't beat the price of this tool.

This tool works perfectly for molding. Almost invisibly hold it in place until the glue sets! Never a misfire - unlike other brands. The Reconditioning techs are top notch - this pinner works like brand new!
