The tools were purchased reconditioned, and they look like it. But I am very pleased with the mechanical condition. A great buy.

Although I have not used it extensively, it seems to be a great drill. The flashlight is quite bright.
My only complaint is the chuck, which requires two hands to tighten, and the smaller ring, close to the unit, is quite small and difficult to grip for serious tightening.
Otherwise, Big Sky reconditioned tools are the way to go! Happy customer.

As soon as I charged the batteries and operated the drill, I could see sparks through venting and could smell something burning (bearing or brushes?). Not real impressed; this should have been picked up before even listing it for sale. Your QC Dept needs some help PDQ.

Great value in this kit. I needed replacement batteries for a couple of older drills but found that I could buy this kit for less money than 2 batteries cost new. now I have a spare drill and flashlight with case.

I purchased a total of five(5) sets and am very pleased. When I recieved them a bulb on one of the flashlights was burnt out and two of the batteries would not charge or keep a charge. Big Sky Tool sent me a whole new flashlight ,not just the bulb, and two replacement batteries a no charge, not shipping or anything. I have purchased many products from BST and will continue to do so.

Received very fast. Dril and light in very good condition. As a "C" grade I was looking for a worn/scratched finish! Works great-has similar power as my Mikita 18V!

The batteries don't stay charged very long under load. I have had a couple of these units over the years and have not had this problem before. I'm not too happy with them.

Nice package and good price. First batteries were HORRIBLE, wouldn't hold a charge for more than two days. They replaced them quickly and the new batteries are fine.

Battery doesn't seem to have a full amount of power and lacks the length of time during during home useage. I tried to cancel the order as soon I made it to opt for another unit. I had no response.

All items are mint. There were no cosmetic blemishes. However, batteries are almost dead. Fully charged batteries can drive only four 2" screws before being completely drained. Both batteries behave like this and need to be replaced.
Now, I have to contact Hitachi to get replacement batteries. I am not sure if Hitachi will replace batteries.
There is a reason why they sell these tools for less. Don't expect new or almost new batteries. I gambled and I lost.
