the color of the drill was different from the picture and the rpms are slower than all 8 of my other hitachi cordless drills, can't tell if the batteries were new, they had a stamp on them like the drill and the charger. if the batteries work out i would rate higher, but too early to tell.

I was very pleased at first, but after using drill for just two weeks one of the batteries stopped taking a charge. Now I have a drill which is virtually useless to me. I'm told I have to ship, at my expense, the whole unit,(drill,2 batteries,charger,case) back for warranty work. Meanwhile I've had to go out and buy another drill so I can keep on working. I'm disappointed as I currently own one Hitachi table saw, one Hitachi miter saw and one Hitachi hammer drill and have had no problems what so ever. I'm not sure I will buy Hitachi again.

This rechargable drill works very well, and has the appearance of being new. It's light-weight and well balanced, with plenty of power for applications. Two batteries were supplied, and hold a charge for extended periods between uses. The chuck works very well holding/releasing bits without use of a chuck key. The drill and batteries came in a formed plastic case that looks brand new.

I purchased this driver to work alongside another of the Hitachi line as the batteries are interchangeable. Light and yet enough power to get he jobs done.

Good drill for the money. Two slight complaints. When I am turning down a screw near the end the drill will catch internally and i feel it catch and hear it too. It's like the motor is not securely fastened to the plastic housing of the drill. This doesn't affect performance but I wonder if one day it will snap apart from that plastic being torqued and fatigued.
The other complaint is that one of the batteries dies early. I'll charge it fully but it has about 1/4 of the life of the other batteries. Finally, this is not a complaint but an improvement to the product design, that I'll get on my next drill...a battery meter. With this Li-ion it dies immediately with no warning. This is a real bummer when I was putting gutters in last month up on the ladder and putting drywall in a 12' ceiling again on a ladder. This is my first LI-Ion drill so I wasn't prepared for that inconvenience.
Overall the drill provides adequate power for my DIY needs and it was almost 1/2 the price of the original item at Lowes.

Excellent drill for both around the house and projects. Battery life is pretty good and the batteries charge quickly. The drill is also very lightweight. This drill seemed brand new despite being reconditioned. I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent drill. Lithium power is as strong at the end as it is at the beginning of a charge.
Works just as strong as an 18v Dewalt but not as heavy in weight or as big. So it gets into tighter spaces. I've used it continually for a year now and it is just as strong as the day I received it.
