Received the saw, took it out of the box and said "wow" it looks new. BUT, then I realized the chain was on backwards. Yep, and all the nuts were loose. And the oiler screw was all the way out. So it takes nearly an hour to put it together, put fuel and oil in it and it fired right up. Let it idle a little while, adjusted the oiler a couple different times until it seemed right and then trimmed trees for an hour. Ran fine! Still adjusting the oiler, can't get it right. Either pumps oil out way to much or not at all. Trying to download the manual to figger out the problem. Most places refurbish a tool and its ready to run; not BIGSKY TOOL. I think they just rebox it and send it to some other poor sucker.

I haven't used it yet but it looks great and is a perfect size for shaping trees. Everything I have ever purchased (Hitachi) from Big Sky has been excellent.

The CS33ET/14 was purchased to fill in for a broken Stihl o11AV. I like the top handle feature, in use it is more convenient than the Stihl, however does not cut as fast. Over all,I will probably wear it out, age (72) permitting.

For anyone considering buying a reconditioned item but not quite sure whether to take a chance let me quash your fears. When I opened the box I thought it was a mistake. The chain saw I purchased looked brand friggen new. I don't think it was ever used to cut wood. I put gas and chain oil in it and it fired right up. This thing is awesome. I have an older 20" McCullough that kicks ass on really big stuff and this Hitachi is perfect for branching and climbing and cutting. Not recommended for beginners. However for ground based amateurs it's great. Very light and can be used with one hand if you are experienced and know what you are doing. Makes a great first chain saw and Hitachi is top quality all around. Not to mention the price was HALF of new at a big box store. Save your money and try big sky, you will be happy with your purchase. Dr.J.

The saw is great and the price was good. The only problem is that it didn't come with a manual and it wasn't available online last time I checked. This is unacceptable for safety and operational reasons.
