This is the second one I've pruchased, I am a flooring installer so it takes a beating quite well. I would not however recommedt this to a finish carpenter but for anything else its a great tool.

I like the freedom that cordless gives to this particular tool, but found that the jig saw blade came loose on occasion, especially under pressure. If you keep this tool to very light duties it is quite comfortable.

Jigsaw absolutely sucks. This a junior homeowner model. No guts and the motor cuts off when the batery runs low.

The Hitachi CJ18DLP4 Jigsaw works well except for a problem with the blade holder. The blade tends to fall off when the saw is in use. This saw takes the "T" type blade and while it's nice not to have to use a wrench to replace the blade it the blade tends to fall off during use, even when it appears to have been seated correctly in its holder.(not all the time)

Received the product in good packaging and it works fine. Only thing I was a little miffed about was that my package of "standard" jigsaw blades wouldn't fit. I haven't gone to a store to see what I need to buy, but be aware.

It works well, only thing is if you try to cut fast, the blades starts to drift. This happens only when using thin blades. Otherwise it works good.

great power, illuminated cutting path, quick change blade, no power cord to get in the way or have to find a power source. Well worth the money. Rec-commend the 3.0 amp battery.
