The first trimmer that I received,did not run correctly. I contacted customer support and Bigsky took it back and sent me another trimmer , which runs and cuts great! The only issue is the line guard, which is under sized.

Bought this for my husband who has NEVER found a string trimmer that he is truly happy with. He was always fighting with cords or having difficulty regulating the string length/release. We bought a cordless one and it only lasted 15 minutes against our St. Augustine (despite what the infomercial complained). He has been very happy so far this this trimmer and even I noticed how quickly he got the work done and how nice his lines looked along the driveway. Very happy....

First of all Bigsky shipped the wrong product and it had to be returned and exchanged for the correct trimmer. Then the 2nd trimmer came defective. I ended up taking it to my local small engine repair to get it running. Primer pump to carb line had a small hole and carb would not prime. Cost me 19.00 to get repaired. The next day the service tech from Big Sky called and I reported what I had done. I also sent Big Sky a request to refund the $ 19.00 I spent to finally get the right product working. Not very impressed with all this. Still waiting to hear back on whether you are going to refund the $ 19.00. I could have insisted you return it and exchange or repair but $ 19.00 is cheaper for you than paying return shipping and reshipping cost to get me up and going. I have bought a total of 3 chainsaws and 3 weed trimmers and 1 blower from Big Sky over the past few years.

Light weight, easy starting, powerful engine, easy string winding.
The head is well designed and prevents grass being pulled into the rotating head.
Well balanced and doesn't need a shoulder strap like heavier makes.
I only have two negative comments:
1. the debris shield is small and doesn't adequately catch the grass debris. I bolted a larger piece of plastic onto the existing shield and now it protects my left side better.
2. The exhaust shield is a plastic grate and was broken when I received it. I made a metal grate out of coat hanger and bolted it to the housing. Works better than broken plastic.
I like this machine. It is a great trimmer!

I am not happy. No manual with the unit. You didn't tell me I was not going to get a manual until I received the unit. I downloaded the manual and I still don't know what gas oil mixture to use. I have not dared to us this until I figure out what the fuel mix is.

Excellent deal on a commercial grade trimmer. Heard so many great reviews on this trimmer that I decided to give it a try and Im glad that I did. I did change the head to a pivot trim style because the bump feed was terrible at best.
