I planned on using this item in a shop enviroment and was really concerned about a few scratches, that is why I ordered the grade C. I figured as long as it ran like a new one, I didn't care about how scratched up it was. Let me start by saying this item performs very well and I have looked it over from top to bottom and the only scratches I can find are along the top of the guide plate. Highly recommend this website and the tools they sell.

Great price on chop saw. Cut thru some steel square tubing and copper pipe with no issues. Was obviously used, but, as the description says, it is to be expected. The parts that matter look brand new. The material holder(basic screw that with pivoting bar on end to secure work) could be wider. If you need an occasional chop saw, I heartily recommend this.

Saw came well packed and quickly. But there was a BIG chuck missing out of the blade - size of a quarter. Blade not useable. The saw itself looked well used -- bottom plate heavily scratched, grease on the motor housing. After buying and installing a new blade, the saw worked fine. Good product and the price was low. I thought Grade C would look like a recon A unit but with a few more scratches. This saw was really really used. It looked like a one year old saw you would find on Craig's List. I have had good luck with Recon Grade A stuff but will not be buying Grade C again -- the condition did not give me a good feeling about how the tool was treat and recon'ed. Grade C not worth the difference in price from Grade A recon.

This is a nice chop saw, however, the cuts weren't quite square until I put a Weiler wheel on instead of the Hitachi wheel supplied. I also lost a couple of the rubber feet because they were just pushed onto the corners, not actually screwed down. Works fine with the USA made wheel.

Bought this item as a grade "C" item - it arrived and was Grade C all right - CRAP!!!! The blade guard did not function and was missing some parts (which the guys sent) but then I also noticed that the reason the blade guard did not work was because the whole saw was out of square causing the blade to cut into the slot...I used this item once after I repaired it and then tossed it (too dangerous for our crew) - I bought a Milwaukee as a replacement and I am totally happy with it.

Saws O.K. but seems to have some wobble in the cutting wheel and distortion from the perpendicular in the cut. Possible a bearing problem in the armature.

I never received this saw. It was sent to the wrong business address and some ASSHOLE signed for it. When I tried to track him down he had vanished, and the business did not have anyone working there with that name! I am waiting for another grade C chop saw to become available.
