Not withstanding longevity, this saw is great! It is my second one (sold the first in a fit of insanity when my kids were in college) Very accurate and a pleasure to use. Yes it's heavy. Not a portable machine. Exactly what I wanted. Definitely purchase reconditioned.

An excellent saw that is very accurate. I installed my Forrest blade it cuts anything like it was butter. I especially like the fact that is a sliding miter saw. It makes cleaner cuts than a saw with just a chopping action. I do wish it had twin lasers though. Left hand miters are cut next to the
laser line however right hand miters need to allow for the blade kerf. I would recommend this saw to others.

The Hitachi saw is everything I could've hope for in a miter saw. It arrived almost ready to go out of the box and required very minor adjustments.
It's features are fantastic and it cuts like s dream. The digital gauge is nice for doing repeditive, on point cuts. I would recommend this machine to anyone. I put it on a Porter Cable rolling stand for my jobs and now get to take it everywhere.Reconditioned Conditioned Sales is a fantastic company. I will definitely use them again. Thanks!

I'm still up in the air about the saw as I have to figure out everything myself because there wasn't an instruction manual included. The first time I changed the blade that was included to a finish blade the piece of plastic that retracts so you can use the wrench came off. On further inspection the piece that is supposed to be fixed, was glued together so as soon as I moved it up it fell apart, and of course it was nowhere to be seen as it was on a job site. I believe the part is called a spindle cover and if one would happen to be sent to me it would be greatly appreciated.

The C12LSH 12 " sliding miter saw is a good saw with many features to save time and energy. The digital readout is a redundant system, if it fails you can still read the manual gauges like everyone else. The slider tracks are awesome, you can use it so it will track forward or backwards, avoids hitting the wall behind the saw. This saw is big and needs a cart and double check your settings and make them tight, the weight can make it move out of desired setting. It does not earn 5 stars because the platform is way to small and NOT true. The machine does not feel as solid or well built as some of my other equipment. This is a solid 4 star machine!!!

good saw does everything that it says it will do my only complaint is that it is so heavy. but if you get a good stand then its not really a problem. i would recomend it to anyone who is in the market for a good saw

The saw was packaged very poorly. Not enough packaging material was used e.g. foam bubble wrap etc. as a result the miter handle was sticking thru the side of the box, parts were loose inside the box as well as the saw itself. The exterior of the box was smashed and upside down when it arrived. In the process of flipping the box over you could here the loose parts banging on the saw blade and housing. The saw had scratches and some parts were broken. I was ready to send it back but you were able to send me the replacement parts I needed. It was out of square / misaligned but in time it is now where it needs to be. I think Hitachi makes a great product and have been useing the saw on several projects.

Packaging was the worst I have ever seen.My saw kept coming to me damaged.I would return it.On the third time rather then taking a little extra time to pack the saw better I was sent my money back. Very poor customer service.
