This saw may be "reconditioned"', but I cannot tell it from new. The offering said it would be necessary to download the operator's manual, but a manual (a little beat up) came with my saw. All the bits and pieces were there. So far I have made only a few cuts, but I'm impressed! It cuts like the wood isn't even there. New blade, very powerful. I set out to buy the cheaper model without the laser light cut guide, but it was out of stock. Boy, am I glad! The laser guide is very precise and worth every penny of the extra $20 or so that it cost. This saw is a wonderful value. Note that the saw is noisy, and it throws sawdust around. I don't think the included dust bag counts for much.

Saw arrived in a timely manner. The product looked new and included an owner's manual. The laser tracked precisely with the blade cut, but I spent 15 minutes adjusting the fences. Very pleased with my purchase.

Love this saw. Package was delivered quickly with easy set-up. Unit looked like new and I started using almost immediately. Laser very accurate on miter cuts and is so helpful-very happy I spent the extra money on the laser. I'm currently making a complex bench with a woven back that requires many 45 degree angle cuts and this tool works well. Blade very sharp and makes cutting easy. The only negative is the dust bag but from the reviews I've read, no miter saw in this price range out there has good sawdust collection.

Received the saw in perfect condition. I first set out to make sure it was set up and aligned but there were absolutely no adjustments necessary. Even the laser was spot on. Great saw. Cuts perfectly.

First off I do a lot of research before buying any of my tools and usually end up buying Ridgid. But in this case I needed a 10" miter saw that was easier to travel with than my 12" Ridgid sliding miter saw. The reviews were not very good for the Ridgid 10" and this Hitachi had excellent reviews and was $90.00 less. Once I got it and tried it out I was very impressed with the how light this saw was and how much power there is. I would definitely recommend this saw to anyone looking for a light weight kick ass 10" miter saw. Also after tweaking the laser a little bit it now lines up with where I need to cut.
