Well I am sad that I was forced to purchase yet another battery for a tool that I received just a year ago from my children. they purchased that combo at Lowes and both batteries have now been replaced, if this battery fails any time soon I will simply scrap the tools and seek another brand, these are tools that are used alot in my home remod, I was pleased with the tool performance the batteries cost nearly half of the purchase price of the tool itself. that being said I classify myself as a marginally satisfied customer. I have indeed lost my confidence in Hitachi as a rugged and long lasting asset to my tool collection
